I myself dont think it should happen. The forums where your post count should rise should be in the qj blogs forums. This shows that your postcount actually has something to do with the site, not just from spamming the Rate my av/sig. You say you are going to limit how much people can get sigs rated? So how much is it, twice a day? Twice per sig? Thats going to take an awful lot of enforcing, and would need one moderator just for that thread. I don't think that anyone is going to want to spend all their time on qj just enforcing the rules in that one thread.

personally i think restricting post count in ANY section is incredibly stupid. but at the same time i've wanted my post count to be stuck for the longest time

But the graphics section in off topic is called Graphics, Sigs and Avatars which is not photography. It just seems like an easy way to bump post count up to me.

i would rather not limit how many times you can post in the rate threads, but abe said it caused a problem so i made a solution... i never said that HAD to be implemented, if people can think of a better alterniative im all for it. ad this is not a ploy for posts/points

i obviously dont need the points, and i will continue to post as i do if they include or they dont include the post count, but that doesnt mean others wont change. im sure a ton more people would be willing to post there more often if they could get a couple points in return, instead of laughing at a person with a noob problem, they are willing to post and help em out. these are the facts, you are just posing speculation. and as for photography section, its not only manipulation photos, i dont know if you remember but my photoshop tutorial thread started there, the is a SPECIFIC place for photoshop that allowed post and point count, but it has been forgotten. and i even say that the gfx section is better cause its not JUST for photoshop, but for gimp, fireworks, ect, it is for the products of our hard work, the only thing that actually matters when doing photoshop.

Thats stupid, people arent going to post there more just because they get points. If you post 1000 times you get 1000 points. Thats nothing these days. You get points for posting in the gadgets, laptop, pda sections, but you don't see a huge increase in people posting there just to gain a few points.

I agree that the GFX section is better. But I think that general off topic is better than the psp section. Does that mean we should get posts there too?

Then why do people spam in the psp section when there WAS a md party room? and remember its not just 1 point and 1 post it is hundereds of posts. and we are not expecting them to be hooked by the posts and stuff, we expect them to get hooked by loving to do photoshop, posts and points are just a kick to get them to post there in the first place

I said if this was going to be a viable option then those two threads would have to have limits posted on them. Madsoul has over 800 posts in there alone. Thats just one thread.

Nobody spams in the psp section just for points. Points are readily available now, so spamming for them is useless. Especially when you need to post 100 times to get 100 points. And saying "Hey look post counts and points are now available in the graphics section" is not going to get a huge influx of people there. Maybe a few people at first, but that will die down.

you have 4,076 posts in 1 thread. its not cause you post 300x every day,cause the thread has been opened a LONG time. rtsau had been open for half a year, posts are bound to build up, and madsoul rates alot, he gives friendly advice, and makes sigs on a daily basis (well he used to) just cause someone has alot of posts doesnt mean they are spam... hell i could have 1000 constructive posts in there...

Not a big deal at all but how about the ability to have 2 teams of the same sport in your profile. Say Sacramento Kings/Toronto Raptors. Lowest priority ever.

I use another forum and one feature they have that I feel would be good here is spell check. Right before you submit post you can check and edit your spelling just like on an email. It would help bad spellers like me lol
