OK, in the forums, we do have a lot of people to tend to "rush-type" their, and end up with horrible spelling and it does not even look like proper english,
especially when someone is posting a long paragraph.
Now, we introduce netiquette. First of all, what exactly is netiquette???
Netiquette is etiquette, except it's for the Internet. You have manners in real life. The Internet is more or less, the actual world. Although in the off-topic section, there are a lot of one sentence posts.
Most people think, "Bah, I don't need to slow down and type correctly." but hold on there.
Look at that example. That would make you look like an uneducated fool.Bad Example: hi this is mah awesum post isnt this great!!!!
Now, that is much better!Good Example: Hi! This is my awesome post. Isn't it great!!
It is better to let other people know what you are saying rather than trying to get the first post in gibberish.
Look at the the way I split my sentences. I double-space them so long paragraphs don't look like squished-up grease sandwiches.
Think long, healthy sub!!
Here are some small tips for proper netiquette:
-Remember the human
-Adhere to the same standards of behavior online.
-Know where you are in cyberspace
-Respect other people's time and bandwidth
-Make yourself look good online
-Share expert knowledge
-Don't abuse your power
-Be forgiving of other people's mistakes
-Don't try to use a lot of exclamation marks.
There is my two cents there, and my first guide too!!
Note: I am not flaming all of the people who type absolutely horrible. I am putting a guide here, since it has been a problem and people post things like: "I can't understand you" or "Your spelling is horrible".
Thank you for giving your time to read this!!
