yes, it will. Qj is not a old place, it has been around for just about 2 years coming up, and the situation started occurring in the past 6 months or so. now we have learned mistakes and we can implement new rules to keep the point system steady.Zitat:

you cannot just 'add' stuff to the store. the things you see in the store right now were not customized then added by qj, but by the VBplaza plugin for the VB forums. We will have to ait for THEM to make more stuff for us. and they will not work on what a few forumers want. The mods and admins are not blind. im sure they check up on posts here more than anywhere else. if they wish to respond or to take action to my thoughts they will, im not gonna force anything upon them. It is their site, not mine.

i like my points, i earned them.
over a year getting interest with my starting amount of 2000, i just about have 14 million points.
i do believe there is a problem.
the best solution is to reset everyones points, and lower the interest.
swapping only worked because one person had a large amount(before there was an even greater interest amount, which led to the richness),
it would be more than 2 years before we have the problem again, and who knows how many people will still be here

there is a huge difference. you see in ipaqs case he took 2 billion points from NO WHERE also known as admin donate and donated it to the public users. In the real world you cannot pull out billions of dollars and give it away. As well you do not make 3% interest of money everyday. you get 3% every YEAR 365 times less. Also in the real world you will not give away 1 million dollars to random people you meet on the street. We can use some ideas based of the real world like how we should make interest times less often, but to base our economic system off the real world would be impossible cause this is fake, money is real.

Also the only real way to implement these new ideas would be to reset the points and start from scratch. this gives everyone equal opportunity.
He actually has 16 billion. I dont think Admins, Mods , VIPS or whatever can be shown in the listing because it gives people more reason to bug them..
i know that ipaq has 16 billion but that doesn't matter he is admin but when he circulated another 2 billion to the member public, it became a problem, and he didnt donate with his own points but with the admin donate which is just like poofing points from no where.

i wouldnt want the points being reset but maybe a global deduction for everyone.

The forum would be better with no points at all and if you got premium with money you should get all the premium advantages instead of doing more to use them.

Use forum rep, its a VB plugin and for each good post you get + rep, for each bad post you get - rep, this can be used to give you discounts in the store ETC....

I dont think resetting everyones points is the best idea. points shouldnt be the biggest controversy on the forums right now, cause it seems like the richest members arent the greediest. But I do agree points have gotten way out of hand. But maybe raising prices on store items is the way to go. I have around 5 million points, and last summer I would be considered rich, heck not long ago 100 mil was the richest person.
This forum is way off perportion, and the only way to fix this is renovating the forum, maybe stricter rules, stricter moderation etc...

and upping the prices in store will not change a thing as i have said before and i will say again most people dont use the store much. Many of the best items have been taken away and probably will not be replaced. The problem is the amt of points in circulation...

And the store. The fun stuff was taken away because we abused it. I say the ppl that did it should get the blame, but it does not happen that way. Change user title, MDPR, change avatar, everything was taken away cause we abused them.

But the inflation of these points in particular users makes the value of a single point useless. Before winning 10K was ALOT now winning 10 million is average. and users have been given million to billions of points for doing things they dont deserve to get the points for, some just beg and get points. Sure it may seem good, But sometime soon, We will be at the same situation all over.
omg it has taked just about 2 years to get in a bad situation and that was with no set rules or anything. reseting the points and applying new rules, making no admin donates, ect... with that kind of plan it will be many more than 2 years to make this system bad again.
No, I will give it 6 months.
