Okay, this isn't another one of those share your setup thread but I need help.
I am currently thinking about using my monitor to play with my PS3 instead of my 42' Samsung ('cause whenever people are over, they want to use the tv, but I want to play). Instead, I will be playing it on an LG W2252TQ. I have the cables and everything ready, all I need is a little help with the audio department.
I know that the speakers will have to have an "input jack" (not a headphone jack). Anyone want to give me some suggestions on which to pick out, and that'll be a big help.
Thanks in advance,
i think you can find cables that convert the audio jacks to the headphone ones, i just dont know where to find them. I have an old stereo that i used to use before when i used my monitor, but then i changed to 52" samsung.
just go to any electronic store and ask for a white/red audio to headphone connection thing or if you have logitech speakers it should come with one...
like what chanakber said
I already have the adapter for the PS3 audio cables.
So it goes like this:
PS3 - Red and White plugged into an extender, then another red and white converting into a headphone jack. Then the headphone jack goes into my Logitech speakers (Just got 'em yesterday)
Thanks for all the help guys.
so he is sending the video output through hdmi and sound through the component cables which have been converted to a headphone jack? How do you do that? I tried going into settings to change video through hdmi and sound through component but it wont work.
our reciever is not connected to the tv and this is the only way i can get surround sound from my ps3.
