It looks like you can unlock stuff from the game for use with HOME, not looking at the actual "paintings", everything else looks digital, the color of the wall looks like the color of the wall from HOME.
Okay, 5 more hours 'till this game's release. So, we have 4 hours and 56 minutes to spare and wait till 2.40. :(
Have they still not announced the launch surprise?
^^^ Read on the psu forums that it was/is a goodie bag which contains either your choice of mgs3 or mgs Portable ops. Guy showed pictures of his but no one else confirmed it yet
heres a link

Oo, if that is true and you pick Ops, you dumb as hell.
Assuming you do have a ps2 or ps3 with backward compatibility, of which I have neither(40gb). So for me its Portable Ops if true.
less than a day left.!
No, I have 60gb, but I was saying Im also getting PO (because i already have 3)
sht, i havent even finished Ops when i think about it...
i own and have beaten every game in the series so i don't need to catch up on anything XD
[random] Is Ops worth finishing? [/random]
yeah it is. the story is great, the only problems i had were with the iffy 3d subsistence camera and the short length of some cutscenes.
most cutscenes are limited to only maybe 5 to 10 minuites at the most.
but by no means does it mean it's a bad game.
20 minutes in :D
I HATE YOU.. i still have to wait until tomorrow morning. >_>
lol im still waiting for my game...:(
Anyway....if i don't get it today then i'll try to get it tomorrow, still need to order a DS3 too.
Japanese PSN already has an add-on for MGS4, its a camo: "HAGANE"
EDIT:
NVM it looked like a picture of a camo, but it was actually a PS3 theme :Argh:
I don't think mines coming today its coming on saturday, oh well.
Well mine just got delivered at work and now I have to stare at the package for seven hours before I leave.
@Nevada - How long was your average playthrough?
Just got the game. Its installing, like the little animations of "Old Snake" whilst you wait.
Hope this is everything we've wished for.
I got the game yesterday but I have just been busy doing stuff only played it today morning it was awesome the graphics are sick!! and the gameplay is sick too and the fps is always constant! am not that far in the game yet though still in act 1 (only played it for 30 minutes)
With prior knowledge of the game, and a decent proficiency (also skipping cutscenes), about 6 hours, on a difficult settings, watching cut scenes, playing through slowly and working your way at it, it's hard to say, really depends on the person, i managed to get through the hardest setting (while watching cutscenes), in about 18 hours and i'm pretty good at it..
Just a few tips
1) don't waste your drebin points on unlocking weapons until you actually NEED them, especially on the harder settings you'll find you need ammo more than you need a different gun.
2) look before you shoot, the way it's set up, if you shoot someone on 'your side' (can change), the PMC and the normal guys will all be gunning for you, this makes it infinately harder, on the hardest setting doing so is basically suicide.
3) backtrack after cutscenes, especially cutscenes that progress your location within the map, theres a few times where doing so will get you some nice items.
4) the battery for your solid eye charges faster the more active you are with it DISABLED, if you sit around it could take forever to recharge.. im assuming it charges via kinetic energy or whatever, but move around, even if you just use the time to backtrack and check if you missed some items, it charges a whole lot faster.
5) keep your eye out for the easter eggs ;)
i won't say any more for the people currently playing through, dont want to spoil it.
it's nice knowing the majority of you will currently, or soon, be seeing first hand just what your ps3 is capable of in the right hands... enjoy it.
Drebin is awesome.
In game podcast is pretty cool, good for when you replay the game.
Very intense, it definitely feels like your in the middle of a war.
BTW, War has changed!
Played for the first 20/30 minutes. I think i'm in love.
Octocam works x10 better then how i thought it would. A bit annoyed reading above that its that short, but i'm just going to be playing the game at a slow pace to soak it up.
Just got it, installing screen now.
Anyone want to hit up MGO later?
