LaLiLuLeLo is basically a reference to the Patriots, a codename. Liquid and Snake are sons of the Patriots.

When Otacon gives you the password '48273' to enter in his old office I was trippin' balls because if it wasn't for that '2' the code woulda been identical to my school ID#, i felt so special :)

I've got a major headache now. I had to stop playing MGS4 to play some GHIII, that didnt help. At all.

Then Run Over And Pick It Up, Enter Weapons Screen And Equip It As A Weapon, L1 To Aim Then R1 To Fire (then Keep Em Pressed) Then Shake The Controller Back And Forth To Shake Mantis To Peices.. And Whala! Done.

Went to sleep and woke up at 10am for a dentist appt and got back home and started playing at like 12am and played all the way through until I beat it at 6am xD ahahah...

LaLiLuLeLo is The Patriots censoring via nanomachines. Those with nanomachines planted in them can't refer to the Patriots by name to keep information on them a secret. Thus, a reference to the Patriots.

First off, Raven is a HER. B&Bs, remember? Anyway, what I did was take a sniper and a machine gun and unload it into her. Also, to prevent her from launching grenades at you, kill her minions. It will make her angry and unable to think clearly. Don't bother with RPGs either, she dodges them. Hide out on the stairs if you need to heal.

Spoiler for This is what I did:

I went all the way to the top floor, which was outside, and just started shooting at her with my M4, for some reason she didn't really fly around that much when I was outside as she did when I was in the building. She just stood in one spot and got shot several times and moved a little bit, but she was still in my sights

The last battle was just sick! I say f*ck Jedi vs Sith, Namco needs to take those guys and replace them with Snake, Liquid, and Raiden in SC4.

She flew everywhere for me. Took around a half hour to beat her. She especially liked going up high then shooting six grenades. It was really annoying near the end.

Is it possible to play act 5 without being noticed? I'm not quite sure cuz I think I got noticed ryt away.

I just started my 2nd playthrough, it took me like 58 mins just to beat the first chapter, this was including skippin cutscene (cutscenes count to the time?)

My goal now is to go through the game undetected and without killing anybody to get the stealth camo and bandanna.

Just got through playing it. F***, what can I say? I've always loved this series for a reason and Kojima never disappoints. My heart was racing as I got near the end-"Is Snake gonna die this time or what?" That's all I had going through my mind. But I won't spoil it for you. Greatest game EVAR!!!!

You used the syringe right? To get off the wires.

Solution to beating all B&B (with the exception of wolf) = LMG

Wow i beat it about a hour and half ago. VERY ****ING EPIC i loved every second of it. i got eagle rank at the end.

meh, how are ya'll beating this so fast on your first try? It took me a long ass time for Snake Eater. Ya'll are hardcore...edit

I really wish chaff grenades were purchaseable...

Just a note for everybody, if this hasn't already been mentioned, if you plan on buying weapons that you are not planning to use, wait til act 5 where all the weapons/items are 50% off.

Okay, I can only get spotted a maximum of 25 times, so my questions are:
1.) Does it count as a spot if the Militia men encounter me in their underground base? (Act 1, after Otacon gives you the MK. II and the Solid Eye)
I noticed it said that this all has to be completed before the Act III trailing mission so:
2.) Once I reach there will it matter if I'm spotted more then 25 times? For example, I've only been spotted 16 times up to the Act III trailing Mission, but by the time the game is done, I've been spotted 27 times, will I still get the Emblem for not being spotted 25 times up to the Act III mission?

just for anyone thinking it, if you use stealth, 'spotted' records will not count

I don't know if anyone else did this, but when the dude spotted me, I tranq the SHYT out of him. He wakes up confused, and still go where he suppose to go.

Haha, i just realised you can revert your OctoCamo mid-cut scene by shaking the pad. Pretty cool.


Hands down, best video game i've ever played. Thats including all Zelda's, Mario's and MGS's.

Beat it twice now, got Mantis and 5 other awards after completing it (and finally my stealth chip), going for the 3rd by the end of the day. Took me around 4 hrs. This is one of them games that is worthy of getting a tattoo of (FoxHound maybe?), although I don't even have one tattoo :)

Did you guys know you can zoom during the cutscenes by pressing up? I didn't dare press any buttons on my first playthrough, other than the flashbacks and stuff. Maybe there are some easter eggs that can only be seen when zoomed.

Two things:

What do you get extra goodies for in this game? In MGS3, you'd get the camo of the boss's if you killed them with tranqs. Does the same apply in this?


Also, should we make another topic for people that want to discuss the games story, without having to worry about spoiling it for others? The games story line deserves it.

I meant as a outright discussion of the games story line. Using spoiler tags makes it harder to hold a conversation. Wouldnt it just be best, to have a new topic for people that have completed the game and want to talk about their interpretations/theories on sequels?

So I'm not digging through 600 posts, but I figured I'd mention...

Anybody else notice the hint at making two more games? When you meet up with Naomi in South America, she talks about how the nanomachines make war seem like a game... and in the FMV, there's a scrolling set of icons listing all the Metal Gear games. Beneath the one for MGS4 are two icons saying "Under construction".
