I was gonna play online but i couldn't be bothered updating :(

BTW guys, i'm up for a MGO Tourney anytime. Shall we wait a few weeks though? Its exam week soonish. Not sure about the rest of you lot but that means me and Nero arnt going to have much time to play. gcse's ftl.

I finished my GCSE's a week ago, summer has started for me :humped:

how do you beat Vamp? i know you're supposed to knock him out then use the syringe, but like i can never use the syringe on him... can someone give me like a step-by-step? thank you

Best game i have ever played PERIOD.
still just got on to act 4 though. haven't had too much time to play it

Shoot him so he falls down and get behind him before he gets up. Once he gets up, it's easier to grab him with CQC because you're now right behind him. It is possible to just walk up to him and use CQC but it's a little harder and he usually just runs right through you.

I just beat this part last night. The part where Naomi dies and Otacon looses it was REALLY well done. Loved how they slow mo'd the part when they were trying to get Otacon to stop crying and they started to run outta there. Otacon has had it pretty tough with the ladies throughout the MGS series.

I hope to finish it tonight, then start my stealth run.

Additionally, I wasn't fully aware with what "CQC" was in all of the guides. I know it had something to do with R1, so I kept continuously pressing R1 hoping to do CQC (I thought it was just the punching/kicking).

In order to use CQC on vamp, make sure you're behind him, and HOLD DOWN R1 in order to grab him from behind. Bam, then press triangle.

i would for sure.. already taken a bunch of pics from both the single player and online :)

MGS4 add on content up on JP PSN, sure it will be up on US PSN tomorrow.

Just be it again on the easiest difficulty.

It took me just under 5 hours so I have no idea how anyone could complete it on Big Boss difficulty in under 5 hours.

You don't get involved with battles, there are a bunch of hidden paths that you can take that gets you safely around the battlefield. It took me about 52 mins on extreme for Act 1, which I could've done quicker had I known about other paths I found when playing on Easy.

Also, I was able to get up to about 750k DP, and I pretty much bought out Drebin's store in Act 5, and let me just say, tanegashima = pure win. I'm probably just gonna do a run and gun, and just muscle my way through the entire game after I get my Assassin's Creed Costume. Can't wait :tup:

Don't bother going through with zero alerts. You can buy the Stealth camo from Drebin's store. You can also buy the bandanna. A lot of money but that saves you going through the game one needless time. You may wish to go for a different emblem. Like The Assassin or Big Boss.

Does anyone know what act/location the ipod track "Snake Eater" from MGS3 and the boss theme from MGS1 can be found? I read you need to get the Big Boss Emblem for the MGS3 theme but that is insane. I don't care about the

But that isn't very fair. I want to have the track but I want to earn the other emblems my self. I just want that one single track.

Im on act 4, 2nd playthrough, brings back good memories :)

When can I start taking pictures, I'm about 1/2 way through Act 3 I think. Damn having no free time to veg out on the couch anymore.

You get the camera in act 4 on the plane.... the mission breifing....

Just beat Act 1 and 2 with no kills.

I missed the oppertunity to get the camera first time round. Minor, i'll beat it normally then next time go and get it.

I don't have a PS3 and I'm reading as much of the plot as I can find now.

First the other day on MSN when my friend revealed two details, one about an epic battle and one about who controls the B&B unit. I asked how the Shadow Moses trailer fits into the game.

Then today I found out about what happens at the very end of the game after the credits via the Wikipedia article of a certain character.

So I caved in and now I'm reading the plot.

I'm awed by the story :Punk:

But I defenitely feel stupid. Internet should have been avoided until I got a PS3! Or at least sites likely to have spoilers :(:Argh:

I've now beaten the game and I know that none of the scenes I saw were a complete hour and a half. Did I miss something?

The epilogue at the end was maybe an hour (being generous); so was that supposed to be it?

That was a dirty exaggeration that a few websites started, to feed their haterdom.

It doesnt exist, theres just the hour long ending one.

I never really played Metal Gear Solid before but I thinking about getting it.

Now is it a seath game or a action type of game...

Does this cover kill this one guy to get into a room where you face some type of boss. Like from Point A to point B or is it different.

Do you kill other players,do you all play as snake?What the deal.... Am I going to be playing online for more than 3 months....

Also do I need to play the other 3 games to understand anything that goes on in this game.
