Well trust me Frain, I worded the e-mail to the very best of my ability and it was on behalf of you guys. I really think that we need to voice our opinions and what we want as PlayStation 3 owners to Sony. It's an amazing console already but there is so much there that they could do to make it completely unstoppable. Power to the people I say.

Is that a hardware issue or software issue, I'm not too sure. At the moment this doesn't refer to anything I could add to the list.
They need to get rid of the region lock on ps2/ps1 games. I REALLY want to play KH 2 Final Mix =/
I think that's definitely one of the things Sony are very unlikely to do.
Won't happen. The only 2 things I really care about right now are upscaled PS2 games & DVDs, XMB customization (ie. backgrounds, themes, etc...), and music in game. I'm sure they are saving some of those for once a firmware is hacked for reasons to force updates tho.Zitat:

Ya thats because its the only system you own. I got a gaming pc and a 360 so thers no real need to play my PS3. Only good PS3 only games are like Resistance and Motorstorm and I hate racing games so Motorstorm out of the question. And I have a bunch of FPS games and Resistance isnt anything special that I would play over something like Battlefield 2 or Gears of War. I hope the PS3 becomes a RPG powerhouse like the PS1 and PS2 were. Its been quite awhile since launch and the PS3 only has one watered down xbox 360 port turn based RPG which it turns out is worst than it was on the 360.Zitat:

Fair enough, but nevertheless I find it very disappointing that this thread can't be stickied. The PSP forums get loads of stickies and the only way we can get Sony to listen to consumers is by standing up and being counted. And of course it would serve a purpose if I am e-mailing Sony with the list. What if one of the features in the list made it into a firmware update? Then it would of been worth it. It's hardly going to do any harm is it? Never mind, I will continue with this thread and prove it's worth.
PS: As you can see a guy at Head Office for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has e-mailed me so this thread is serving it's purpose and will continue to do so.

wishlists and console makers do not go together, they will add what they've planned to add, change what they feel needs changing, and patch any holes they find, simple as that.
They do not care what you want adding to the console, a large corporation isn't going to stumble across a random forum and think, "hey, this one dude on the internet would like xyz feature, lets add that".
The only time they will listen to the public is when there is a vast public consensus for the same feature or fix to be added and hingsight tells us this is almost always when something doesn't work how it should (eg, backwards compatibility).
I take your point Nevada and you have hit it exactly. I did send an e-mail to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (look at the first post) and got a reply from Andy Barnes at SCEE Head Office so they might of got some influence from the list. You are probably right but at least try and support me because as you say many can change things.

I don't understand why will "Ability to access entire XMB (via menu) after pressing the PS Button in-game" never happen. It seems feasible and it would largely kick the 360's in-game dashboard butt.
Sony need all ps2 online games to work.
also background Audio CD import would be good.
To much ram/processing power would be needed. A cut down XMB menu is much more realistic.Zitat:

If the game was paused the ps3 could handle many things on top of the game i think. with [email protected] it could be slowed down to allow more CPU/GPU/RAM for other things.
