Most powerful console is the ps3

I can't think of any PS2 game that I enjoyed playing besides MGS2 and Budokai 3 and Final Fantasy X (XI is not worth it) :think: But on XBOX, there has been Ninja Gaiden, Halo, Halo 2 and more that I'll have to look at to remember. I enjoyed playing SCII on gamecube more than PS2, and the mario games are good, SSBM is good, RE is good. I'm more of a gameplay aware kind of guy.

i cant wait until Smash Bros Meele 2 on revoultion with online play :Punk:

Me too, tottaly...i am all for games with great playability over graphics, for god sake i spend much time of my gaming time playing old games for example. For me, Ps3 big graphics were impressive but never the most important of it features ( i love how its expanding beyond a console though, thats why i love my psp too), but i fail to see what you say about the Ps2.
I also loved MGS2, and Budokai and Final Fantasy X ( and i agree, FOR ME XI is not worth it), but what about GTAs? Tony haw's Pro skater (they were quite addictive)? The Jak Series? Dark Cloud 2? God of war? SUIKODEN?!! I love the harvest moon series, so save the homeland was a nice addition. It have such a big range of games that although i'm sure only a few were FANTASTIC, i enjoyed lots of them.Oh well, a matter of opinion anyway.

And i'm just naming the ones that pop out of my head right now. My top of consoles using gameplay as a criteria goes like this (for the current generation of course):

1. Ps2.
2. Gamecube.
3. X-Box

Probably the gamecube should deserve n#1 because nintendo releases very original and creative games, and their trademarks games are very fun..but anyway, i enjoy more the gamma of games ps2 offers.
Thats my opinion though.

I forgot about TH series :O But only the old ones were fantastic, the news ones are getting out of hand. Darkcloud was good, I'm not a fan of the Jak series, and God of war did not impress me as it did with many others. They are all good games, but hours played: nintendo wins, for some reason I go back to old gamecube games and N64 games. GTA was not PS2 only that is why I'm not considering it a "good game for PS2" because I'm trying to find games that are only for a certain conosle

Thats one of the reason i do not prefer Xbox, it seems to me they release so many of their games to the PC, that its not really worth it for me (Considering i have a decent pc though, i understand not everyone can). Being halo 2 and ninja gaiden one of the few exceptions i know. Oh and i NEED to play Jade Empire :shifty:

well, most of the times, it's better to play on an XBOX ;) (that's the catch)...but 360 should not have games that are ported to PC

GOW did not wow! me much, I have MGS3 but do not like it much as I do with 2, Killzone is good, but I like games like that on the PC better, and Gran Turismo never floated my boat

In a way, im looking foward to my brother getting the revolution than me getting the 360. Mario Revolution, SSB Revolution, Metroid Revolution, those are looking real good. And Xbox, cant forget perfect dark, and with online play im thinking best fps ever (maybe my hopes are too high). Playstation 2 didnt have many exclusive franchises that were hard hitting, but that leaves room for all new originals. All we can do is wait and see. And i hope this $500 pricetag is a hoax. It'd be nice to had a NR in my brothers' room, a 360 in here, and a ps3 in the living room. :dance:

Aww im sorry to hear that. Especially since the ps2 version of soul calibur II was the weakest. Heihachi? come on. I love tekken more than any other fighter (except for dead or alive) But they couldnt use someone like Tidus? And God of War didnt wow me much either. It was a good game but people rated it muuuuuuuuch higher than i did.

DOA2 was the only DOA game I owned, I'm thinking about getting DOA4 for XBOX 360 :)

id say the ps3 is going to be better, once you think about it is not that expensive when you look at what features youre actually getting. Youre getting a blu-ray drive that can store over 54Gb of data and currently they are working on 200gb blu-ray disks. I mean the truth is, the more powerfull game graphics are going to get the more storage youre going to need. so in this case you'll need every byte of data u can get. And by mass producing blu-ray drives it is going to cost sony less in order to produce the drives. Right now bluray drives cost about $3000 but when offering a console such as the ps3 at a reasonable price of $400 - $1000 its almost a steal. And so wat if sony isnt offering a hard drive upfront atleast when u decide to buy it ure gonna get a linux or tiger (speculation) operating system installed on it for use on the PS3 I doubt XBOX 360 is ever going to do that because theyre greedy *******s only wanting u to use theyre own stuff.
