Same, I was disappointed in it as well. I was saving up money for it, but I just bought a shiny new DS Lite instead of a phat one.
They couldn't add that much though, it would alienate their other customers.

I dont really care about PSP anymore. Just waiting for God Of War: Chains Of Olympus. Besides that..theirs nothing really good coming.
I'm excited about PS3 though. Killzone, GT5, LBP and especially MGS4.

Hope Sony can actually keep it up, i was suprised nothing was mentioned about firmware updates. But i'm expecting one soonish.

To the stuff you added, I only listed stuff that was new info and found interesting. Microsoft had a lot of trailers and stuff, but we knew everything about the games already. Sony unveiled a lot of new stuff which is awesome.Zitat:

I know, it's gamers haven. If I bought all the games I'm interested in, it would cost more than a PS3.
I'll probably be getting a 360 sometime before Halo 3, and then enjoy Halo 3 and COD4, Asassins creed and all the other great games in 2007, and then get a PS3 in time for MGS4.

Not sure if anyone needed it but heres Sony conference. Its not full since i fell asleep while watching it but it has most of it. Also the color is weird but still is very watchable.

I was thinking this was going to happen, since Sony seems to be relying a lot on downloadable games (see 80gb HD), but didn't expect them to come out and announce that it was actually what they were doing so soon.
So if you want to get a PS3, get it NOW!

Does the 80GB really cost that much more to produce than the 60GB? Not really, I could see the 80GB take the 60GB current price tag. Mainly because there is hardly any difference in either SKU, they'll remove motorstorm from the bundle and hopefully keep the lower price as well. 1 SKU is a better thing though.
Sony employee or not this isn't his region, to make guesses at what their doing. They could keep the $499 tag for the 80GB, nothing has been announced. It would have been nice for Sony to announce the phasing out of the 60GB but then noone would buy it and just wait until the 80GB takes it place. Maybe they will keep the 80GB SKU at the price it's at right now but Ill just wait until that day.
The 80gb will replace the 60gb price point. The saving in not having the ps2 chip set in the PS3 covers the costs of a extra 20gb space.
Is that confirmed, or just speculation? Remember, they are still losing money on each console, just removing the EE wont change it.
