I agree with most of this, it's a shame that things like the playstation blog had to be established and that Sony had to get some of their PSP ideas from homebrew, but as far as games go come on:
360 launch title worth buying: COD2
PS3 launch title worth buying: RFOM
PS3 titles coming out one year after launch: Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Uncharted, Lair, Ratchet and Clank: ToD, Haze.
360 titles that came out one year after launch: Gears of War, F.E.A.R., Rainbow 6 Vegas, NFS: Carbon, DOA2, Sonic the Hedgehog.
I think most people expected the PS3 to match it's launch titles with the 360's brand new holiday stuff. I figured it would happen, but I also don't think it's fair. When I just see the PS3 as the same thing the 360 was in '06. I played COD2 for 6 months without another game on my 360 and I was fine. I just didn't see anything else worth buying. I've had the exact same thing happen to me with the PS3. And you know what? I knew it would happen too, but I bought the PS3 because it was shaping up like the 360 in terms of available games it had during it's holiday season. And I know someones gonna shoot my list back at me saying something like 'Ugg Lair's just a stupid dragon game' or 'Heavenly Sword is just an arena fighter'. You know what I say to that? Legend of Zelda: Ocorina of Time's just a stupid RPG where you fight comical enemies and play an Ocorina, FFVII's just a long boring RPG where super deformed characters have feelings, Guitar Hero's a stupid music game where all you do is play notes. Point is you can make any game seem stupid.
