My PS3 is faulty because the fan goes to full speed on boot so I called playstation UK and the person I talked to said that I should move my PS3 around because it is drawing heat from the surrounding environment. I knew this wasn't the case as it was working perfect in the same spot before and it was perfectly cool on boot. I told him this but then he told me that the PS3 was tested thoroughly and he wouldn't consider my PS3 to be faulty. He also said many PS3's have been taken back by sony when they haven't been faulty. He told me to play around with it and If I can't fix it in 24 hours I should ring back. So I did.
Next day I re-rung (obviously didn't work) and told him I haven't been able to fix the problem. He said that many PS3's have been sent in unfaulty again and said that he would have to take the problem to head office. I'm expecting a call within the next week.
So people used to be ble to make a simple claim and recieve a new PS3 with a few days as told but now it is a lot more strict. I can't blame them for wanting to be so strict if so many unfaulty PS3's have had the warranty claimed on.
