Mario Party eight is just a rehash of old ideas. It's not fun at all.
Zelda is short and doesn't have much replay value, so really it's just a renter. Good game though, just don't expect to keep it.
PS3 has Warhawk, Resistance, Motorstorm, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Super Stardust, Flow, Pixel Racers, Calling all Cars, and for some Super Rub a Dub.
Within a month it'll get Ratchet and Clank too.

A bunch of pretty original arcade titles on the PSN at budget price.
I would NOT like to pay $5 or $10 for a classic title unless it is REALLY good. And guess what, almost nothing on VC on the Wii is good enough. On the other hand, the PS3 has quite a few arcade titles on its PSN for around $8 to $10, and they are all so fun. That definitely beats paying $50 for a bunch of flash games... or $5 to $10 for a classic title that I already have on an older console that I still keep.
Each to his own, I guess. But once I get both a Wii and a PS3 (not going to include the 360 in this talk), the Wii suddenly becomes way inferior in every way possible. And up to this date, no single game on the Wii could surpass Super Rub'a'Dub's simplicity and creativity! I swear... the game is so simple that I did not even have to instruct the kids on how to operate it. On the other hand, I had to teach them how to tie the Wiimote straps and all the junk about turning on the Wii... etc...
Edit: And this might come off weird... but WarioWare Smooth Moves is just as fun when you play it alone. Guys. And it's not that bad, but it doesn't have anything to make you want to go back more than 5 times in singleplayer mode... and when you're done it'll only be there for parties.
Now you KNOW I'm not a fanboy, (of the Wii anyway), PBR is the 3rd best pokemon game made ever. It doesn't suck at any extent, and it totally owns WarioWare, I dont see why you dudnt underline it, after you beat all the individual places theres nothing to do there for replay value gets a 0/10.Zitat:

Nothing. Who said you had to compare it to something in the first place? Example of what I'm trying to say would be like Killzone 1 for the PS2. People who compared it to Halo 2 said it was utter crap. Whereas people who just judged the game based on what it had to offer rather than comparing it to Halo 2 said it was a fairly decent game. Same with the Wii people who compare it with the 360 or PS3(mainly wii owners who own a PS3 or 360 as well) think its crap but people who judge the Wii based on the stuff it has rather then what the PS3 and 360 has think its great(this tends to be people with only a wii).Zitat:

I don't really listen to those 13-year-old who reviews video games based on how much the competition will pay for their reviews. I buy the actual games and try them out... and I know they have more replay value than the only thing worth owning a Wii for: Zelda. And yes, that's the only game I consider good on the Wii. The rest are just so casual and "everyday" that they are horribly bad in my book... I mean... why bother? Just get the Opera Browser for your Wii and go on the net for some flash games! If you compare the Wii to any of the new consoles, it still seems inferior. But if you don't compare the Wii to anything, then... what? No competition? No reason for Nintendo to improve their products' quality? I see efforts from Sony to improve their products everyday. I see Microsoft trying to bring good games to their consoles. But what about the Wii? I don't see a thing about how its producer is trying to improve it. Now for the argument about Wii's Successful games:
Resident Evil 4 Wii--yes, although I do admit, the wii loses points because its a port with wireless controls and the PS2 version's features. Graphics no difference.
Legend of Zelda TP---besides the Replay value(come on, all zelda games dont have much RV, its still a good game no doubt about it). I for one had somewhat good number of hours playing the GCN ver.
Pokemon Battle Revolution--(despite the fact its pokemon), its still a somewhat good rpg for the Wii.
Now dont get me wrong, I do like Replay value and all, but to a certain extent, I expect a another game by the time i finish that one :)

Chances are, if a price drop will be announced at TGS, i can bet you, its for the Japanese region of course, wasnt it that the western nations recieved a price cut(not counting europe(well in some parts i guess) ).Zitat:

Honestly something like this needs to be done, Sony is trailing too far behind in the NA market. Even though they have an solid lineup for the rest of this year and next year, they need to make the price point more attractive.
I just hope they can remove components without gimping it entirely.

I don't think it would be impossible to have BC without it but it definitely would be harder to accomplish any type of software emulation on the ps3. It's still very much a rumour so who knows what Sony is going to do/announce.
If you're about to buy a PS3, then don't! Just wait until the weekend is over, even though the announcement may come earlier.

Sony will announce tomorrow that has bowed to consumer pressure by not only reducing the price of its 60GB console, but also creating a 40GB version priced at Ł299 to go up against the Xbox 360 Elite.
Confirmed by multiple sources in the games industry in the UK, Pocket-lint has learned that Sony Europe will officially drop the price in the UK of the games console by Ł56 to Ł369 in an attempt to boost sales ahead of the Christmas rush.
"We are currently under strict NDA, however that NDA runs out in the next 48 hours," a retail source told Pocket-lint.
"Sony is clearly hoping to make a comeback against the Nintendo Wii, which is currently outselling the PS3 four to one," an industry insider told Pocket-lint.
Just soon as the PS3 becomes a wait loss fad in the United States of Fatasses, its sales will start to increase..
Doctors in the US are literally prescribing Wii for weight loss.. and of course they're stupid enough to buy into it. Once a console enters the pharmaceutical field, first of all, its no longer a gaming console.. but more importantly, it's worth more than gold.
Sony will announce this tomorrow and it will be in stores by 10th of this month. The 40GB will retail at €399 and the 60GB will retail at €499.
Some rumours about the specs and changes:
~ 2 usb ports
~ 40GB HDD
~ chrome is still going to be present
~ The PLAYSTATION 3 logo won't be embossed
~ No GS and no EE, so emulation won't be up to snuff when compared to the SKU's with both PS2 chips
~ 60GB discontinued
~ no memory stick reader
This is still unconfirmed but I bet it will be announced tomorrow.
After things settle down and Sony gets back on track (if they can), I bet they cut out the 40GB SKU and just fly with the 80GB once they can reduce the price on that too. It's crazy how MS and Sony have so many SKU's, it just seems like they are using the cheaper models to get people who aren't happy about price to buy.
I think both companies will eventually end up with one SKU.

Nothing, but all I've heard was the 399 EU price and thought maybe you got it confused because you didn't see the € and maybe just assumed that it was a $399 price.
