I've heard $699 AUD, $399 USD and €399.

So probably $449 for Canadians, let's see how Sony handles the dollars differences this time, it'd be nice if the US and CAN prices were near identical.

to the last statement, one pound of Wii is not worth as much as one pound of gold :P
and doctors dont prescribe wii for weight loss, they RECOMMEND. I've heard this from a couple of my parents' friends.

They do need a cheaper model but I think the 80GB at $499 would do okay. $399 would move a ton more consoles so I wouldn't put it past Sony.

Elite = $555 (USD)
PS3 = $832 (USD)

That was a while ago now. It's clearly labeled Elite so they can do the conversion if they want to.

Man, no backwards compatiability stinks.

Good thing I decided to keep my PS2.

Hopefully they'll add a emulator or something to replace the EE chip.

EE is already gone in newer units, the rumour is that both the EE & GS have been removed. PS1 should still be 100%.

Let me ask something.

Old PS3s have EE and a PS2 graphics chip.

New PS3s just have a PS2 graphics chip.

40gb will have neither. ( From what we have heard )
