i have a x2.6ce chip there is also a x3 xhip
X3 lets you do a lot more feature hardware mod wise, but not in whatits capible in doing woth software. And for xbl the 2.6ce is the best,since it has a firewall against xbl so it wont connect and you'll not get banned. I'm just hoping that the first gen 360 mods will be kinda a 5th gen of xbox mods.

Not right away you couldn't. You wouldn't know the proper partitioning/file system. Maybe in the future when modders take a good whack at the system.

yeah i have a Xecuter 2.3b lite that uses the ol' switches to change the bios bank modes...used live for 2 months and didnt get banned. On a side not i believe those prices that king of noobs posted were true. I did a search and most sites all posted the same prices.Zitat:

Different people associated with Sony have been dropping different hints on price since the very beginning. Bottom line, it has to cost at least 349 and if the Xbox 360, since its going to be released first, ends up at 399, I can't see any way that the Ps3 doesn't end up costing at least the same.

Rare, Ltd. is a good example of a second party..they were an independent company with an exclusive license with Nintendo, releasing games for the NES, SNES, and N64 until they were bought by Microsoft...they are basically assisted directly by Nintendo financially and creatively. Not really Nintendo but not really fully independent. The best way to refer to a second party developer would be to call it a "gray area".

Well the most definate reason everything is so expensive obviously is because ms wanted to jump the gun and release everything asap to beat sony to the market. Thus everything being released this november is real pricey. Maybe if they waited just a little longer to release the system(give the original xbox some room to expand a little more) then the prices wouldnt be so high.
if they realed it the same time as ps3 they could cheapen the prices of there items and budle if with halo 3 and make it cheap then they will winZitat:

It makes no sense that their hardware is aging gracefully yet being retired first. It's pretty ridiculous. I really don't feel a need yet for a new system, especially since they aren't even closing out the XBox yet...they're just charging more for ports to the 360.

I think it's kinda funny that half this thread is filled with rants about Xbox 360. I personally can't wait for the price of the PS3, and the features it has with the PSP. I've heard some pretty crazy rumors like "Play ps3 games on your psp. Just stream video and controls and play your ps3 anywhere!" and crap like that. It would be very very nice, but impractical. It would be cool to play psp on your tv through the PS3 as well. (Like UMD movies and games.) Plus having a personal screen while playing multiplayer would be cool. I'm not sure how they are going to do the controls on the psp like they said they would. I understand that you can make wierd button mappings, but I'll see when they release more info. I'll probably be going with both systems after time. I did it with current gen, which will help my decisions in the future.
I actually haven't seen any rants about the 360...the discussion so far has been pretty informed and intelligent, otherwise I would have moved it to the rant forum a long time ago...
