ok here are the facts Microsoft knows the core package is useless they only even have a core pack to brag about how they have a console is 299 and ps3 is whatever... That is the only reason... the ONLY!

The way i see it is in '08 all the new consoles are in stores. A person walks into The new gamestop which is ebgames combined. Ebgames blows the ppl there are idiots. Well anyways the person has to make a choice ps3 or xbox both are lower priced but the 360 is a little lower. He looks at the game selection he sees in racing GT for the ps3 and PGR for the 360, this is a casual gamer so he thinks they're about the same thing. then he sees MGS and FF and they look great, then on the 360 side he sees Halo 3 and he's heard a ton about that game, and a RPG that looks like FF and is also made by Square. Then he reads about the online features and sees the ps3 has only a couple of games with online play and almost no DLC, but sees how much the 360 games have online and even free xbl. Well what does he choose a couple good ps3 games and no online or a couple good xbox games with online. Remember I'm only taking about exclusive game. since most games will be multiplatform.
In 2008, if the XBox 360 is still being judged solely by a launch title, it deserves the buyers that it gets. Heh. I see your point, but that's three years away. There's honestly no telling how things will end up. My point is simply that historically, the calls that Microsoft are making are universally bad. REALLY bad. As in catastrophically bad...and in a market with three competitors, there is no room for errors. Especially not for the newest kid on the block.
And Jawa, yeah...Bungie did do Oni for the PS2 and PC as well, but as I stated, they STARTED as a Mac developer...they then branched out from there...with Pathways into Darkness and Marathon, mainly.
Also, the general idiocy of EBGames employees is very well known. No worries there.

Also i went to ebgames i was going to sell my old 1.52(2.00) psp and i asked him how much would i get for it. Then i asked him what happend to the 2 month frees in the display case, He said the GOT rid of them. then he tolf me how much i would get for the psp and i said gamestop gives me more, He said this ISN't gamestp and i told him that the companies merged. HE told me to stop being a smartass and buy something.i was going to swear at him but right then my mom came in So i left.
It most definitely does matter how badly they do overseas. If all they can win is the US, they still lose.
M$ want to get better salls overseas but they expect to lose there so they care mostly about USZitat:

the PS3 cant be 299, if the xbox 360 is gonna be 299 w/out wirless padles and no hard drive, and the xbox 360 will be 399 with the hard drive and wireless paddles. the PS3 will be at least 399. And if u question me 'bout the pricing and 2 types of xbox 360 it was a G4tv on attack of the show.
i'm just going to get the $299 version and buy the hard drive later
ps3 wont be $300 even if it ships with no hardrive, no controller, no power cable, no av cable, no memory card and a complementary kick in the bolllocks. Since they would lose so much per console sold. And sony will do to europe wot they always do, rip us off.

Sorry but I tend to disagree, Microsoft are the ONLY company that recognise the importance of the fastest growing videogame market, i.e. Europe. They are the only company that have ever even considered launching a console here at the same time and (nearly) at the same price as elsewhere. Trust me, we will appreciate this, especially after the mess that was the PSP launch.Zitat:

for me i say that the PS3 is better and having to buy multiple versions of an xbox 360 is crazy and that would total more money than the PS3 and 24 controllers in one room for a PS3 is cool for big shoot em' games instead of having to hook up systems. i mean the Xbox 360 looks like an Xbox 1.5 which is ridiculous. and the PS3 having a MS port and you having a PSP would be awesome 512 MB stick is more than enough memory for PS3 cuz games these days need less memory for saving. It'd be pretty darn cool to see FF7 in HD too. :D
