1080i :P
How do you find out lol, its using an HDMI Cable and running 1080 P
Well then its using 1080p. Moreover, to find out what resolution you are running, go to display settings and have a look.
1080P now, parents bought this today :D
No surround sound still though, but the picture on that TV is worth it.
cool, my dad was going to buy one like that, but decided he'll buy a panasonic/hitachi plasma insteadZitat:

Not bad, but how can you play on the same TV that your parents watch. It's a conflict of interests! Thats why I got the 32' for my room. Can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on that.
My parents aren't home that often, so I get time in then. Dad is always at work and mom is usually cleaning or something. It's what she considers her hobby.
1080p.
Yeah, Im in 1080p now. Not really benefiting though considering its only a 26 inch.

my mom is usually sewing and my dad has to travel alot for his job, so my only competition for the tv is my sisters.
My mum just sews, cooks, cleans, through out the day except in the evening like 8pm she watches TV for an hour then goes to bed lol, other than that its shopping and dad is working :)
My mom is a Columbian Drug lord, so she's never home.
My dad is a child molester so he's usually on myspace.
I had to read that twice, such dirty thoughts. lolZitat:

I've been using 1080i, I will give 720p a go to see what it's like. If 720p is supposedly better than 1080i why does the option even exist?
You cant be running 1080p on a 26" TV. You may be able to select that option, but your TV's native resolution is probbly 720p as opposed to 1080p. Therefore, your TV will scale anything you have down to 1080i, which is probably a bad option, instead you should select 720p from the PS3 system menu.Zitat:

If I have 720p and 1080i option ticked on the PS3 settings will it switch between both when needed?
1080p and 42 inch lcds just go hand and hand...
yup.Zitat:

Took me awhile to find that out.
Whenever I tried to select BD special features the screen would go blank because it was trying to go to 1080i and my monitor didn't support it.
1080p on 72" of awesomeness
Great. I'll leave it like that then :)Zitat:

Yea what is the model!
My inFoucus projector (4805 screenplay) can only do resolutions up to 1080i. But i can do 1080p throw component on my ps3 but when i do HDMI (i use an HDMI adapter pluged into my monitor port) i can only do resolutions up to 1080i on HDMI.
I cant seem to find my model number ...
You wouldn't even be able to see the difference between 1080p and 720p(or 1080i) on a 26" TV anyways. You can't even notice the difference on a 40" TV.
I finally got some component cables and for the first time I'm using my TV to its full HDTV capabilities (1080i).
1080p on my 42" lcd tv :)
1080i 23" samsung lcd tv.
Full 1080P 40" Samsung TV :)
