i've been waiting a long while for a game to come out that lets you 'design' creatures, and pit them against eachother, and breed and mutate them... the few games released in the past always failed to satisfy. but spore looks promising.
GTA on the other hand, has always been third person, even GTA1 & 2 were viewed in top down 3rd person
tbh, i'm not one for third person shooters either, but Rockstar pulls it off amazingly well. they did an even better job with manhunt, and i strongly reccommend trying their gta and manhunt games. vice city and manhunt 1 in particular, were very definitive games to me
as far as the psp is concerned, you have GOT to try crush. i'm not going to overhype it, even if it's underhyped in the industry, but it's well worth a try!
it combines 2d and 3d gameplay in a way unlike any other game so far, and it works VERY well with the puzzles. it offers me nearly everything i look for in a puzzle game
In game XMB = satisfaction
better headset functionality (can't connect while in game) = satisfaction
enough with the p2p-based online shat. moar dedicated servers. ubisoft are you listening? = satisfaction
But overall, I can say yes. We play that thing a lot more than the 360. We only play Bioshock(damn this game is great!) then shut it off. Gears and Halo got boring so fast. Call of Duty is the new drug and PSN is free. So, I'm happeh wid' it!
Oh, and more satisfaction is coming June 12th.

you problem is that you judge games before playing them. By doing that, you create your own dislike for games. Its your loss in the end.
i personally think GT4 has the potential to be good. Developers arent retarted. They test every aspect of the game (including the camera in this case.)
I still give some games fair shoots. I played gears, I didnt like it, infact i hated gears. Halo 3 played it, sucked compared to halo 1/2. I played Cod4, got real old really fast.Zitat:

Manhunt on the other hand, is just gorgeous, and was a fresh idea when it first came out. i only wish there was a multiplayer element

another rockstar release: The Warriors, was a stunning rendition of the movie, and the missions were fantastic. it was a little like GTA, (third person, virtual world, fairly linear gameplay) but the experience was great. fantastic music, interesting characters, and entertaining missions. it was a disappointingly short game, and needless to say, i'd buy warriors 2 or even an expansion pack
there's a mini-games feature called 'rumble' where you play the game purely as a beat-em-up, and that was entertaining too, imo
and goddamn that radio-jockey's voice was sexy. :P

i am kinda but i really hate the fact that it doesnt accept dual usb ata external hdd without linux and that the fact that the 40gb ps3 cant even do software emulation i mean wtf the other ps3s have software emulation why not the 40gb?
Can't say a whole lot, since I've only had my PS3 for a week now but I love it.
Games are nice, but I'm in love with the fact that all my music is save to it, and since my PS3 is hooked up to a nice surround system, it is very nice.
I'm surprised that Sony does not advertise the non-gaming aspects of the PS3. I know two other people that are now planing on getting one just for the music and movies that can be uploaded to the hard drive.
They do like 90% of the advertise for the ps3 blu ray player....

The 40GB lacks two things. The CPU and GPU from the PS2. The first PS3's had both of these, the 2nd wave had one of them and emulated the other and now the 40GB has neither of them, and Sony are refusing to emulate both (they claims it's not possible but if my PC can do it why can't the PS3).Zitat:

I owned 3. Then I traded them in for 360 games. I'll pick up the PS3 again when there are some major exclusives

360 is my number one right now, followed by wii and then ps3. Keep in mind that that can change at anytime. I predict a slow change from 360 to ps3 but i believe that playstation will be #1 in my household in a few years

I would give it a 6 at the moment. It's a great machine, but hasn't been used to it's full potential, and quite frankly i see no need in getting any multiplatform games on it because i find the interface annoying. Give it a couple years and some major titles (MGS) and it will be on par with the 360 in my mind

There was a batch of 40 gigs sold around Christmas that had a lot of disk read errors. Only time I've ever heard of it.

So $120NZ is roughly $100US which is roughly £50. So games in New Zealand have the same retail price as in the UK, which is still stupidly more than games cost in America.
