Final Fantasy...Zitat:
What caused you to buy the ps3?
Yeah...
What is your favorite game, and why?
Are you conducting market research or something? :-) hahaZitat:

It's gotta be Fifa 08. Firstly because Im nuts for football, and secondly, it's the only game I own :-)
lol no it's just to show any ps3 owner your views, and help them decide whether to buy one . Fun to read your opinions anyways.
I also highly, highly recommend PixelJunk Monsters. It's cheap and cheerful, and Ive spent whole weekends trying to get past some levels :-)
This changes rapidly but for me it's Oblivion right now. So open and immersing, I love that you have total freedom.Zitat:

As for PS exclusives, Warhawk. Combat is great in the air and the game is still constantly supported by the devs.
That, Adiuvo is the best game atm as far as I'm concerned, had it for 4... or 5 weeks, I forget how many exact. But I never finished Ratchet and Clank because of it(which rac is one of my favorites and I really have got to finish it...). In Warhawk, you love to camp, there's weapons for camping(which I hate, personally) if you like to fly, go grab a Warhawk/Nemesis(if there are any left) or if you feeling like a Rhino, I would suggest the tank, nice for ground assaults, not known for speed(they slow as snails), and uhhh.... jeeps for quick moving(maybe going in for a zone or distraction, or just plain old transport), or use the good old foot ;)Zitat:

tanks are the best weapon. It's pretty much one shot kills for everything (except for other tanks)Zitat:

Fav game (any platform) = CoD4 nothing beats it IMO and I've played Crysis (the game that "so completely owns CoD4)
PSN = Tekken but its a tadge on the expensive side at £15. Really good fun online
yeah..too bad Crysis is PC only.Zitat:

Typical PS exclusives, IE, Folklore, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, etc..Zitat:

It's super easy to kill though. Run up with a flamethrower, hop on the top, and shoot it till it's dead. Or just tow it with a Warhawk. The game is very nearly perfectly balanced :)Zitat:

COD4. By far. Nothing this good has come out for the PS3. Its the only game next to PES08 that i've had for longer then a month.Zitat:

I never saw them on PSN?Zitat:

I just got PAIN and that's brilliant fun. Obviously Warhawk and GT5: prologue are must buys (altho I got the Bluray versions of both rather than the PSN).Zitat:

Riff is a fantastic PSN game. Definitely my favourite so far.
I have no favourite game till the Final Fantasy's and MGS4 are released. Until then, all my games are equally played and equally loved.Zitat:

True, better get GT5p on a disc. I got the PSN version and it sucks that I will not be able to play my offline career whenever I'm not logged in the PSN or my ISP is doing maintenance or I simply stay without internet.Zitat:

I have gotten PAIN, the bowling game, Mesmerize and the crappy aqua thing. Pain and the bowling game are quite nice, the rest I don't even start any more.
Would you rather use the linux browser, or the PS3 one?
What would you like to see happen in future firmware updates?
Are you still looking foward to home?
The linux brower..Since it has real flash support for tv sites like hulu...Plus adblock and all the extra that come with firefox...

MGS4, GTA 4, Haze, Tekken 6, Wipeout HD, some more I am forgetting.
I bought the ps3 simply because I have always found the PS brand far better than the other options. I knew I would like the ps3, but could not justify the purchase over the 360 until a price drop and more games came out. Both have happened and the games are going to get better and better.

Currently, MLB 08. By far the best and most realistic baseball game to date and of course being baseball season I got the urge to play a baseball game. However, It changes quite a bit. Burnout Paradise was it for quite awhile as was Uncharted.
If I could get Ubuntu to use WLAN and install applications without errors, I would use Firefox.Zitat:

RMVB file support. I believe it has good compression and better quality (when done right) than DivX.Zitat:

Is homebrew important to you?

Btw if Sony read this thread the PS3 would fly off store shelves.
No, not really. We have Linux for that stuff. Pirates, I hope they enjoy complaining for years to come.Zitat:

I haven't even put linux on my PS3, and I bought it on release day here in Australia. I don't really see the need to put homebrew on the PS3. It's got enough good features as it is.
What is your favorite linux for the PS3?
i want to try yellow dog, but i havent yet because i see no need... ive only tried ubuntu on the ps3.
I tried Ubuntu. It was nice but it didn't support the WLAN of the PS3. Me, being a new guy to Linux, couldn't do much about it.Zitat:

I currently have Yellow Dog 6 on my PS3. I have yet to set up the WLAN.
Yes you can. I turn it on in game in Warhawk or COD4 and it just appears and it works.Zitat:

I'd prefer using Firefox in linux, but the catch is their is no offical linux PPC build of flash player. THere are some alternatives, such as Gnash, but they have trouble with newer flash versions.
Will GTA4 hold you over till other hit titles make it to the PS3?
Will reapechad ever not bump one of his own threads?
At least hes trying to make the forums a little bit more interesting, its just dull around here now.
Heres another, Little Big Planet will it live up to hype?Zitat:

Yes it will, any game like that, that has fun creative environments will catch a lot of peoples eyes.Zitat:

GTA IV will keep me occupied until MGS4.
