For the record Sony does make good stuff like TV's and of course my PSP.
Now this is why I don't like the PS3. Let me first start with my expernce with the PS series. I loved my PS1, and it was a better gaming system than the N64.
Now skip to ps2, the ps2 was a huge let down. After I got my PS2 I loved it and indeed back then it was great. But after a couple of years went by I played the big games like FFXI, MGS2/3 and then other games like Shinobi, AC and Zone of the Enders. Seven Samurai, SOCOM. There is almost nothing else the PS2 provides, so you beat the game, that’s always fun but they’re almost nothing else to do. The PS2online Service was garbage; it was not good compared to XBL.
Now this when I started playing Xbox, It has XBL so almost all the games have an online ability where you can play against other ppl. That always makes the game funnier. Games like Halo 1 were great even without XBL and games like Halo 2 were fun as well. Splinter Cell, Forza Motorsport, KOTOR1/2, PGR2, Crimson Skies, MechAssault, Ninja Gaiden, and DOA, all great and are even better with XBL (most are). Now that’s just exclusives
Hardware wise, the Xbox was built for online play, now the original dash didn't a live tab, but it had all the 2 most important parts for a good online system stock. a HDD and a NIC.The ps2 had neither. Both controllers suck. Also XBL need servers to get rid of host advantage. The 2 packs is a bad idea in my book, it costs more to make, but i can see some ppl buying the core. With the ps3 is costs even more to make since it has 3 colors. A wireless battery should come stock, Also the good remote should come with the xbox( Thair are 2 xbox remote's). I also hope they made the mic better than the current one.
I won't go into the specs about how the Xbox is better than the Playstation or vise-versa, but instead on the optional stuff and feature that are not needed skipping blu-ray.
Now to finish that stuff about the output. Common ppl won't, don't and aren't going to use 2 TVs or monitor. It's just not realistic. If you think that most ppl will buy a TV or hook up there pc monitor as a second screen, then you need help. Most ppl from work with a Ton of clients aren’t very bright, want things done for them, they are lazy and won’t move around their displays for a video game. They’re not video game freaks, have jobs, they’ll set it up once and they’re done, that’s it they won’t go around moving stuff and buying an extra TV or putting a second TV next to their main in a Family Room. Just like if you think most ppl will get surround sound and an HD TV for a 360 or a ps3 your wrong. They support the feature but does that mean they will make every game use it no. Not all games will be HD, and even less games will support 2 TV output.
The ps3 also has Bluetooth, how does that make video games better? Now wifi I can see a use with connecting to the psp. (Of course you'll need a firmware upgrade for that) The ps3 also has 6 USB ports, why does a console need so many? a SD port, Compact Flash, and MS port, I don't own a SD card, but the other 2 i do. Why a console needs 3 different types of memory ports does, isn't one good enough for game saves. This raises the price and adds nothing to a video game. No HDD stock is another flaw (they might add one).
Now the only features the Xbox 360 has that aren't necessary are; stream stuff to it, and a web cam.
The Rev. I will not get or anything Nintendo because playing their franchise over and over bores me.
The PS3 will have a higher price tag, because of all the useless junk Sony put into it, And Xbox 360 also has a high price but not as high.It also has a huge online game experience something the ps2 lacks and Sony tactic of let the dev.'s choose doesn't fix. Online is the way of the future over Blu-Ray, HD, wifi, streaming and any other stuff a game might have. It adds a something new to the game, playing different ppl and going into races, flying or fights with your friends is fun.
The ps3 doesn’t up the bar enough, it has the normal stuff next gen should have better graphics and improvised power, but Sony is making the ps3 a sort of home theater system, instead of a true game console. They added stuff which raises the price and adds little to nothing in terms of making the game better.
Both consoles at max will have similar stats but the game lineup, online play, and price will be very different. You can't tell how good a console is just by spec, But you can buy what the vendor has done in the past. Sony overpromised with the PS2 and has as well with the PS3.
Also if I’m such a huge MS fanboy how come I love my DC and have 2 psp's.
P.S. Ztype is you don't understand what I’m saying don't post until you do.
