Brain stew...how can you tell you have hdcp....
If the screen has a HDMI connection there's a very good chance it has HDCP, but the only way to know for sure is to check the TV manual.Zitat:

It has to say HDCP next to the DVI or HDMI port.
A TV without it will not downsample to SDTV, it will downsample to 480p
ok...so on the 360 i can have 1080i without hdcp...but with ps3 it will be 480p without hdcp?
I have a 360 and i already have it at 1080i
maybe half that
No...We're talking about HD video on Blu Ray discs. You won't have a problem playing games in HD. I'm not even sure what the PS3's DRM specifications are, I'm talking theoretical. HDCP isn't even used yet and is still being litigated as we speak.Zitat:

Alright...well i'll probably be buying a blu-ray player and not even use the ps3 one...i really didn't like the dvd player in the xbox, xbox360, or ps2...so unless they make it as good as top-of-line then i probably won't be using it...
Then you wont be watching blu ray movies for a while.
Yea i woudnt doubt it. I def agree it will be high 200's millions. If their product proves to be outstanding which im sure wont be a problem at all.
200 Million??? Are you serious???Zitat:

The PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube put together barely euqal 150 million...
And now you think the PS3, by it's self will get 200 Mil???
I'm sorry, but that's just ludicrous...
