You put way too much emphasis on over-hyped technical specs for a console no one has actually even had a chance to get a real 'hands-on' test for yet.
Myself, I'm not buying into the Blu-Ray hype. DVD works just fine for me.
But hey, if Sony wants to cater only to super-rich folks who can afford to get that nice HD viewing then more power to them.
Microsoft and Nintendo will be happy-as-hell to snatch up the other 90% of ordinary gamers who just want to play good games and could give two ****s about graphical prowess, HDTV, or 'cell processors'.

MS is also on the HD bandwagen. And you cant know for sure that will happen so stop trying to make it sound like fact that sony will fail.

what do you mean buying into it. It's high def which you cant get currently with dvd's. Its gonna happen whether you buy into it or not.

Why would want HD-DVD? Less space, 360 not supporting HDCP. With Blu Ray in the PS3, all Blu Ray movies can be played in HD. The 360 cant do that even with the HD-DVD player.

the only reason FFXI is on PC is because they could port PC games to 360 fast and easily. It doesnt even support Xbox Live or Custom Soundtracks (correct me if im wrong) Blue Dragon will be the 360 equal to a 'real' Final Fanasty Game.

also HD-DVD and Blu-Ray are useless even for HD Moves i just picked him Terminator 3 on DVD and its full HD and is 2 and a half hours and is only on a normal DVD.

It's not full hd, can anyone else back what hes saying up. Are you talking about upconverting?

Its a WMV HD file if its on a DVD. Not as high quality as you will get from Blu-ray/HD-DVD.

1080p is full hd, which requires more space. I have a samsung upconverting dvd player that goes up to 720 p and 1080i but thats not true hd its just been upconverted and hd tv like say HD TSN looks way better because it was filmed hd cameras and its just brodcasted to our sets. Blu ray although more expensive is a better choice if you want the highest quality and you have or plan on getting a 1080p tv set.

for 200$ cheaper you can get HD capabilites(720p and 1080i is still HD)

So...600$ for 1080p

or 400$ for 1080i...hmmm

It's 'hype' back and forth either way and it all depends on the DISPLAY.

No the xbox 360 is an ok console but when compared to the PS3 it sucks.

Well that still true. Because the $400 360 is better then the $300 360.
