I don't care about Blu- Ray, the specs, the power, or how good it makes toast. I'm buying a [60GB] PS3 because the previous two Playstations were awesome machines and trounced the competition for a decade straight and I have no reason to think that the PS3 won't do the same. I'm not being biased, look at my sig.
Someone a few pages back pointed out that the iPod was popular becaue it was so well supported by first and third parties. The Playstations were the same way (by that I mean games AND peripherals). I think the PS3 (after it stumbles out of the gate because of the price and possible first-run issues) will pick up where the PS2 left off.
