. . . shooting action is much more fun, engaging and dynamic in Metal Gear Solid than in ANY Splinter Cell game. (Hey, you said just one right)Zitat:

And please. Don't even touch story. It's like comparing the story line of Romeo & Juliet to Pong.

Especially how people can run with 60 Pound rocket launchers... and besides thats a opinion.. im talking about gameplay.
I'm sorry but neither MGS or Splinter Cell is ANYTHING like Romeo and Juliet or any other Shakespearian play.Zitat:

Don't insult a genius.
yeah, shakespears plots arent that hard
have sex->someone dies->a war is going on->adultery->possibly a suicide
that is pretty much how they all go.
I'm not even going to bother arguing with you. They're both great games. They both have a different theme and pace of action. The reason why I choose MGS over Splinter Cell is simply this: NO other game will ever have a story as complex and meaty as Metal Gear's. In many other games it's 'Bad Guy v.s. Good Guy'. In Metal Gear Solid however, it's more like a struggle of conflicting ideologies. Believe me, ask anyone who played and understood the plot of MGS and did the same with Splinter Cell, "Which storyline was better? And which one's gameplay feels more detailed?"Zitat:

Also, once it comes the the raw gameplay scenarios, NO one has more tricks up their sleaves than Hideo Kojima. How about putting your controller in the console's second player port to avoid a psychic from forseeing you attacks, using cigars smoke to see lasers, hiding in a cardboard box and once the enemie's back is turned you can knock his *** out and shove his body in a locker, having a sniper battle with professional sniper that lasts for no less than an hour or two in a test in endurance, or being able to take on an entire military battalion using only a freakin' tranquilizer! Trust me, Metal Gear Solid just has a bravado that NO other game has or probably will never have.
You need more MGS in your video game diet.Zitat:

I personally am looking forward to the PS3, i think its gonna be great, even if it doesn't compare with other consoles i want a ps3 to see what my psp and ps3 can do together
:P
MGS was rubbish after the first one (Except for maybr Special Missions, that was fun).
Splinter Cell was rubbish before the first one.
I hate both of them, with a passion.
I was looking for a link that showed Bioshock was coming to the PS3 or did I completley misunderstand his post :sZitat:

not another MGS Vs. splinter cell battle! even thought MGS is the best!
there both good
One word: Quality
I'm tired of always chosing things just because ppl tell me they're "better" or "cheaper", cheap is always expensive. The PS3 is quality, is not just a kid's console, it is an elegant and fully equiped Media Center, even if the games I'm waiting for don't come with the launch I can still play PS2 and PSone games, I will not need homebrew because I can run a parallel OS that can run the aplications I look for in homebrew (emulators,etc.). And, you have to see things in the long term, PS3 is HD, it's a Blue-Ray Player, it has Wi-Fi, HDD, Bluetooth, and wireless controllers (The rumble feature will be created by a third party, bussiness is bussiness), the 360 lacks most of this, you actually have to buy a wireless controler, Wi-Fi, HDDVD, and all that crap, so do the math. On the Wii side, I will eventually buy a Wii because it is not included in the competition, it's a low-end console with a great future and very innovative (besides it will really fun to play with friends), now for my personal games, i'm a square-enix follower. The thing is, look for quality, and make a real investment, not just a: "oh, this is the amount i have now, so i hafta get what i can now...im so smart...hu hu hu hu".
LOL Me and two of my buddies have been getting the run-around about our 360's getting fixed forever. Msoft is still doing what they always do. Hell they stated in the last GI that they were going to suck it up and actually fix peoples 360's and we're still getting the run around every time we call. I'm sick of being asked if I poured liquid on my 360. 1. I'm not a mouth-breathing tool 2. Pouring liquid on it isn't going to make the system put horrible fcking rings on my game discs so they don't play. Both Sony and Msoft are full of ****. Unfortunate as it is I'm done with both. The 360 was a hack job to begin with and Msoft tries it's hardest to not fix it and the PS3 is a joke.Zitat:
