Yah, but I camped out for 3.5 hours to pre-order in a civil group that eventually grew to roughly 20 people. Me and the three people that were there before me waited in our cars directly in front of the store. The 5th person couldn't park in front, so he brought a chair and sat in front of the store. People that arrived later, lined up behind him, and he told each one that the 4 of us that arrived before him (and he pointed at us) were there first. When 9:30 rolled around the guy that got there first (at around 5AM) got out of his car and went to the front of the line. I got out of mine around 9:45 (I had gotten there about 6:30) and got behind him. The other two guys (they came together in the same car) got out and got in front of me. It was that civil and that painless. By 10:00AM the line had grown to roughly 20 people. My EB got 12 (after any hold-backs for employees...), so the EB employee told the 13th person in line and back that they had to walk. I actually got the 4th of 5 premium systems. :Punk: Now, all I have to do is walk in on 11/17 with my ticket and walk out with a system.Zitat:

The PS3 launch turn-out is going to be psychotic. Supposedly, the US allocation is less than half than that of the Xbox (I heard, but dont' quote me...). I'd expect hardcore buyers in line many, many hours in advance. After I left EB after the midnight pre-order pickup for the 360, I drove by Best Buy out of curiosity and the line was around the side of the building... at midnight. And you should've read the horror stories on the qj/xbox forums of baaaaad launch-day stories. I figured the PS3 launch would be much worse and alot uglier, so I stood in line to pre-order, so I wouldn't have to camp out and fight people when it launches.
