lol that was so obvious ;)
I think he crashed his computer way more in the process of making this big picture than the actual ps3
Team ICE is a joke.
Simple rule: If a video announces a exploit it's fake, works every time ;)
Just look at the psp scene, every legit exploit was released as soon as it was working, no bull****ing around
original 2.0 tiff exploit, another tiff exploit around 2.7,gta savegame exploit old and new one, hitchhikr's kernel mode exploit, team c+d kernel mode exploit, lumines savegame exploit,...
all released prior announcing, but then again it's unfair to compare them with Team ICE as they have absolutely no idea of what they are doing nor have they the knowledge to pull of something like this both how to code and how to make authentic looking fake videos

Freeplay did prove something. He proved that the so called TIFF exploit is capable of nothing more than a crash. So is completely worthless.
And your proof for this unfounded connection?Originally Posted by hallo007

why is everyone always flaming.
Remember that Dax came with the first version of the 2.6 downgrader for psp. Thousends of psp's were bricked that day and dax became the most hated person , a day later was dax a god for most psp users
Most of those early bricks were most likely because people didn't read the README.txt'sOriginally Posted by hallo007
Dax wasn't trying to prove an exploit existed that clearly doesn't exist. What Team ICE need to do is keep absolutely 100% quiet until they have something real that runs a Hello World app.
Everytime they find a crash and start screaming exploit it makes them look more and more stupid.
No he's right. Dax's first claim to fame was a downgrader that bricked a lot of PSPs.Originally Posted by Skyline34

I agree, FreePlay has pretty much fully proven this isn't anything special.
I was one of them. I hope the ps3 gets hacked, but it most certantly won't come from that sham of a site.Originally Posted by Phil

Even if the PS3 has hacked, it wont be enjoyable. Do you know how often Sony will be up our asses? They'll constantly roll out updates. As you cant access any online features without updating, we're bummed.
COD4 over Snes Emu.
Especially because you can just boot into Linux for the Snes Emulator.Originally Posted by Vee

Sony isn't worried at all...we can't beat them here. Their security is just way to tight... maybe one day we'll hack the PS3, but who really cares. COD4 ftw.
*Don't cry Iso whores, homebrew isn't meant for that

I doubt that. The only difference between hacking the PS3 and hacking the PSP is that people want to be able to play on PSN, and if there's a risk Sony will ban you for "hacking" your PS3 then less people will do it. And the less people that are interested the less effort people will put into hacking it.Originally Posted by reaperchad
Even if we managed to get a custom firmware on PS3 there's still a huge chance that Sony can detect it and ban you from PSN, meaning a huge chance people wont adopt the custom firmware.
Surely by the time we get CF (not saying we will), we would have found a better way of blocking certain communications with the Playstation Network to detect a hacked PS3, or make it seem as if the console has been untouched to PSN.
I don't know, I'm making random stuff up now, lol.
Depends on how the PSN checks the firmware (clearly it does because it notifys you when your fw is out of date).Originally Posted by Skyline34
I expect however that it's more complex than it just checking a version number (which we could almost certainly spoof with a custom firmware).
Makes no sense. Blocking the communication'd just either make use not able to log in or they'd notice theres nothing coming in and they wouldnt send anything out.Originally Posted by Skyline34

But I doubt even Sony would just simply leave it down to a firmware number detected by the network, there must be other security measures.
team ice is a bunch of idiots.
why release a crash too early? and there's not even a hello world yet. sony will take action soon.
gemu giru gan go gufo!
props to sony for having a mod-free system for a year!
