Thanks to a coder by the name of jevin, AVR users can now jailbreak their PS3's with 3.15 firmware. PSFreedom is a jailbreak for linux based phones.
jevin ported the PSFreedom payloads to be compatible with the psgroove jailbreak.
You can find the git here.
edit the Makefile to match your device settings as well as target firmware and compile. so far, only 3.15 and 3.41 firmwares have been tested. please make sure to specify a supported firmware (you can find the supported firmwares in the config.h file in the PL3 folder).git clone http://github.com/jevinskie/psgroove.git psgroove
git submodule init
git submodule update
Big props to jevin!
To compile an older commit (ie the one before the unpadding of the descriptors) use this command after you have cloned the git:
this should set all the files the way they were when this release came out working. as of now, it is completely broken with the descriptors being unpadded so new users this is a must.Code:git reset --hard c7561a5ec57020b42d3c or.... git reset --hard c756
if in the future, jevin updates his git repo and the payload works again, you can update to the latest commit without deleting the directory and recloning using this command:
Code:/* inside the psgroove folder */ git pull http://github.com/jevinskie/psgroove.git
