YDL - Installed... password isn't working

I am positive as to what i set my password as and it will not accept it! I don't know what to do! I've spent hours tryin to do this ... I tried changing my password with linux =\bin\bash but i cant seem to get it to work! help plz or tell me now if i have to reinstall the whole system

im not sure if you can do this since i havent used YLD Linux, but have you tried typing passwd at the kboot prompt to change your password.

I had something similar it appeared to be the keyboard settings. During install you can choose your keyboard layout, however once everything is installed and your logon is created and you are ready to go, it is set back to some US default!
I am using an european 'azerty' keyboard and had to type my password as being on a 'qwerty' layout then it worked
