Default I Have Noticed..

The lack of information about installing aplications on linux in plain and simple english on the internet. I managed to find a great guide on these forums on how to get Snes9x working but other then that, all the guides on the net only tell you how to install linux on the ps3.

There is no plain and simple information available that does not require digging for countless hours. And if you do manage to find somthing, it is x86, not for your version of linux or u need a dozen more packages installed just to get this one to even remotly work... and the process starts allover again.

When the psp came out the scene was huge, i remember buying a jap psp and paying through the roof for it because the scene was thriving. here however, it is pretty much dead. We have paradox taking the píss with there stupid loader, every1 has different distro's of linux making things even harder and it is just a mess.

I have been searching and searching for days for information / a simple step by step guide on how to install programs such as dos box and the GBA emu but to no avil.

If anybody could post any kind of help / guide it would be much apreciated. I will eventually be hosting a site with simple guides on how to install certain and in demand applications on PS3 linux distro's with the RPM's freely available to download.

PS - i have Fedora C5

That's your problem right there. Install Gentoo, learn how to use Portage, and call it a day.

Portage is easy as balls to use and there's tons of documentation on it.
