a passkey is a key for both devices.... it can be anything. say you are pairing two phones. on the phone that is asking to connect, the user will be asked to input the passkey. say he inputs 1337 as the passkey. there will be a popup on the other phone asking for the passkey. the other phone will have to input 1337 as well for the phones to pair successfully. for devices without anytypes of input, like a bluetooth headset, wiimote, sixaxis, there is usually a predefined passkey which you will have to google to find.
