Ubuntu is the easiest.
YDL is the fastest for PS3 (I wouldn't recommend it otherwise)
Fedora, I haven't tried, but from what I've heard is more difficult than Ubuntu, but a very decent distro.
Gentoo is recommended by a few as well, though I've had really strange issues with it.

Definitely stick with Ubuntu then. All the other distros have a huge learning curve, but Ubuntu is made for first time Linux users, or people who want a easier to work with interface.

For the love of god it's UBUNTU not UNBUNTU. I will UN-BEAT you over the head if you type that one more time.

Speaking on the topic of linux, do any of you guys know if any distro has support for Phone as modem?

I use Ubuntu. It's easy to use and I'm new to linux so that goes hand in hand. I plan on installing Gentoo later on when I'm more comfortable with linux. I've noticed that Gentoo has slightly cooler capabilities.

YDL- Supported by sony so you get the benefits of that.

Ubuntu- Its easy and a good way to familiarize yourself with how Linux works.

Fedora- Has drivers for the xbox 360 controller(only benefit I know lol)

I would recommend you to do what Kold Kalamity is doing. Use Ubuntu to familiarize yourself with Linux and when you have enough experience come over to gentoo.

That is what I'm doing. I suck at linux so badly, I make a black hole look like a drain in a sink. I wanted to use Gentoo so badly but I'm not ready for it... yet. The biggest advantage it has is Portage, witch allows you to install (almost) any app that runs on linux by downloading them and installing them, along with anything else required. Although it has a learning curve that makes your head spin. Don't rule it out though. Assuming you know what you are doing, Gentoo has the potential to be the best.
