installing ebuilds from a removable disk?
I have just recently installed gentoo linux on my ps3. However, I do not have a wired connection, which prevents me from emerging ebuilds normally. I have read on the gentoo linux forums that I could configure my wireless settings by emerging net-wireless/wpa_supplicant. However, because I can't connect to the internet via a wired connection I can not install the application. I wanted to know if I could download the ebuilds off of gentoo-portage.org, transfer the files to a removable disk, and install the ebuild that way.
Ps: If anyone knows of an alternative way to configure a wireless connection without installing additional applications, please let me know.
