can i install linux on my ps3 and play n64, snes, nes, and gba emulators at full speed with the ps3 controller? im sure this has been discussed before but im just looking for a short, straight answer. i dont know anything about linux. thanx and sorry for the "noobish" question.

N64(there isnt a emu for ppc platform linux distros. Thats what the PS3 uses) no but snes nes and gba should be fullspeed. I haven't tried the gba emu tho and yes you can use the PS3 controller.
