PS3 Linux Auto Login

Anyone know how to setup login process that it will just allow you login to system without prompting you to enter login/pwd on ydl when you turn on/boot to linux mode?

I don't know if this works because I don't have a ps3.
I am getting one next week though

Disable the login screen.

Click "System", "Administration" and click "Login Window". This window opens...



Click the "Security" tab and your window will look like this...



Click the check box that says "Enable Automatic Login" and you will now be able to use the drop-down box that's under "Enable Automatic Login". In this drop-down box you will see your login name, select your login name and press "Close".

i'm not sure if ydl has that option but i will for that setting.

In case anyone is still looking for a solution, gdmsetup allows you to do this (similar to the example above). I had to open the program from the command line though.
