Has anyone tried this linux version on their ps3? if so, is it any good?

Going to try it out as soon as I'm finished downloading the installation files.

Supposedly, this build of Linux comes with a lot of goodies pre-installed!

Make sure you disable Beagle. Beagle likes to destroy filesystems. I learned that the hard way.

You just have to say that AFTER I've installed it, don't you?

Anyway, it's still fast enough for me. The other distros are slow, anyway.

OpenSuse is crap. Trust me. Try Xubuntu (the fastest distro, because its based on the XFCE desktop enviroment).

Gentoo without a window manager would be the fastest. But yes, the fastest WM for the PS3 is XFCE

You installed OpenSuse on the PS3?

Can you gimme a quick hint on how to go for that?

It's not just putting in the DVD, like with YDL, is it?
You need a propper bootloader as well, don't you?

I'd really like having OpenSuse on the PS3, since that's the one I use on PCs and I know it, where to do what to make it what I want.... and the such
