Question fedora 7 screen goes black with kernel 2.6.22

Hello all,

I recently updated to the last fc7 kernel with yum update, old one was 2.6.21-1.3194.fc7, new one being 2.6.22.9-91.fc7.

I don't have HD tv so my video mode is set to 1.

With the old kernel, I get picture on the tv, all is fine.

then if I boot with the new kernel, the screen goes to black.

I tried modifying this line in yaboot.conf

append="rhgb quiet" to append ="video=ps3fb:mode:1 rhgb quiet"

I also tried with mode 33, no good result so far.

I can see the screen for 1/2 sec before it snapps.

The same exact thing happened when I tried the kernel 2.6.23-1 for fc7, but at least this time I have the old one still available so I can kboot on the old one...

Anybody experienced the same issue ? Is there another file to edit ?

Thanks, all your help will be much appreciated !

Anybody with a succesfull upgrade to this kernel with low def tv, i'll be glad to hear about, it could mean my file was corrupted

I have been working around this.

I updated to kernel 2.6.23.1,

changed append line in yaboot, deleting the rhgb quiet and miracle, i can see now !

But the boting has failed,

missing ps3disk.ko module

and

reading all physical volumes -> No volume groups found

seems like it can't find the hard disk...
