I know Ethernet isnt always an option for all PS3 users, but:
  • Its easy
  • Its Fast
  • And takes minimal setup
Sadly i have looked around google and seen a few people with the same problem, have a good read over them and your solution may lay between those blocks of text.

Good Luck

Key (Use 0x for hex) : 0x(Then your WEP Passcode with no spaces ) NOTE: For my Conection i did not use Wireless Security.

Click Forward.

Do not Set Any configuration on this Page. LEAVE AS IS

Click Forward.
Then Finish <<<

After Doing all This Correctly. you will be back at the Network Configuration Window with ure Newly Created Configurations.

Your New Settings Should Have Wireless Under Type..... Make sure its highlighted and the Box under Profile is Checked. then Near the top of the window

Click Activate... A mini window will pop up showing Status of it Connecting to ure Router. this will confirm if Connection is Successfully Connected.

After it Conforms. Click Edit on ure Connection. New window will appear. You Should be in A Tab labeled General .

Under Nickname There Should be a Box that u need to check. Next to it will read Activate Device when Computer Starts (NOTE: Failing to do this will cause u to activate it ever time u Start YDL)

Exit and Test your Connections with FireFox.....

Enjoy.....
That should help you along the way.

the Kernel in 6.0 is the latest thats not the problem I was able to figure out why the Green light that indicates WIFI signal wasn't going on though...

Its the hypervisor doing its work again it does not allow you to have wired and wireless at the same time.(even though one is not present)

though i was able to get it to come on it did not seem to get signal I screwed with the settings and now it wont come on again I'll try and see what I did wrong...
