Simple question but not in the FAQ. Do you need to format your PS3's hard drive in order to use a Linux Live CD on a PS3?
Of course you don't need to on a PC, but the only guide I saw which mentioned this was also geared toward full installations and included a partitioning step.

Yeah you need to format it and install an otheros.bld, then switch the default OS to otheros, then have the live CD in when it boot.
