ok i just installed gentoo on my ps3 but i have a couple questions.
what is X? and ive installed snes9x on it but to run the rom do i have to run it by typing snes9x /home/nickio1230/root/Desktop/sm2000.smc everytime or is there a quicker way? also i installed xmame but everytime i try to run a rom it wont work can anyone help me please.

X is the window manager and graphical interface. Its like the linux equivelant of Windows Explorer. If you're trying to run snes from the terminal then yes, you do have to type it in. From the gui though you could just make a shortcut to it.

how would i do that? sorry im new to this linux thing.
