If it is real, it is pointless. I mean... it is completely unusable. But pretty neat anyway.

@ Noriko, that's what told me: "it's useless buddy". Pentium 4 for some people is already slow and outdated, imagine P3.

Great job anyway, I'm sure this'll lead into some new development.

Ubuntu which is designed to run on PS3 is slow and crappy. I think I'll pass on Vista.

are you kidding? 2000 was a glitch fest. 98 SE was the most stable therefor the best by my standards.

someone should do this with windows 98 or windows 2000 since they are decent and have low requirements.

Too bad that it would still be slow. You are emulating a windows environment from the already crippled PS3 linux environment. I wouldn't expect anything from it.

Still ME is the best.
(On PC, since it seems impossible on the PS3)

LMAO, your joking right? It is truly the worst Windows to ever come out, why do you think XP came soon after?

i think wine is the best windows platform to this day, too bad compatibility is lacking

EDIT:
i just realized how completely lame it is arguing about a matter like this with out backing up your statement so i will do,
Wine can be loaded on demand virtually instantly on a platform that is much more stable than winNT or alike,
on program it is compatible with, it sometimes runs faster, even though its an unofficial homebrewed piece of software(i have runned tests on multiple games)
you may make your own prefix if you would like to test out potentially hazardous files
it has a friendly official community
its free
you may compile it your self with modifications to the source

list goes on,

cons:
lack of compatibility most notably from .net

It's incompatible with most modern games, that's the main problem for it.

Additionally, it wine doesn't work on the PS3, it only works on x86 architectures.

Default Use rdesktop instead of emulating.

If you want a windows dekstop on your playstation why not install rdesktop. You will have an amazing 1080p windows desktop with none hassle what's so ever. Mediaplayer runs perfectly with sound even over a wireless conenction.

why has no one tried installing a Mac OS on the PS3? Anything lower than X.3 are PPC based right? So they would run a bit smoother, though still bad.

man, you're not kidding...

my first college PC came with ME. luckily that was about two months before the super-early leak of XP. I pirated that as quickly as I could.
