Im kind of a noob with Linux but have been snooping around on Google and youtube most of the afternoon/night and can not find any reliable set of information

I basically have found a nice txt file located here...http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/2/...owdoglinux.txt

but seem to have a problem while picking up the rpms

I get an error like "could not be opened because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences." What do I do here?

My main goal is to just get nes, snes, sega, and gameboy working. Thats all i want to do. I also installed rhythmbox for the ipod compatability just for kicks because that was easy.

Just need help with the emulation...that is all.
