Ok so i have gotten my ps3 and i am now looking for the best linux distro. I have heard that yellow dog and ubunto is the best. I want the most efecient distro. What are my choices.
Also can i install it with my psp or memorystick or does it have to be a cd. Can linux for ps3 run n64 at all even if its slow |

Good questions!
If you're new to Linux I'd suggest Yellow Dog. Ubuntu would be a little less efficient (believe me, I've tried them all from Fedora to Gentoo to Slackware). I'd install it off of a DVD since the ISO is too large to fit on a CD. I can't answer the question about n64 emulation because I honestly never tried. X and the graphics environment isn't hardware accelerated which means it would probably be slow. Sony locked access to the RSX. ![]() Good Luck! |

Thanks the only problem is i cant burn onto cds or dvds. I have an ancient computer witch is why im installing linux. I was hoping to be able to put it on my psp witch has enough memory to store it. What would be my best option due to my situation.
