Maybe its just been optimized for boot-up or something.
Are you trying to read for errors or do you just like it slow?

It isn't a problem, I guess on some days your PS3 runs a little faster than usual that's all. I get that sometimes on boot when something fails normally actually. Like once my USB was plugged in on bootup for the first time ever and the bootup freaked out, the stuff was starting really quick and froze on the USB thing until I was able to understand what was written and then took the USB out. then it worked. don't freakout. If your linux boots fine and all your apps run fine then nothing is wrong. it is just showing all the services that are starting.
