I REALLY wanted to run ScummVM, and I can, so I'm really happy (now all I need is a new TV so the resolution isn't horrible)

It looks like we got a NINTENDO fan here.

What games do you want for the SNES emu.?
I like Mario Kart myself.

Definitely MythTV. A also want to link it into my Synergy mouse/keyboard sharing network and use it as my third desktop system. It'll have the largest monitor, 37 inch Sceptre, so I'll probably shift quite a few of my daily tasks over to it, other than the TV watching.

Oh, Cedega won't work with PowerPC...

Default mythtv

Zafle

The WinTV-PVR USB2 by Hauppauge is supported by Mythtv. Only problem right now is the driver is built into kernel 2.6.18, not the 2.6.16 we are currently using. I've tried compiling the driver against 2.6.16, but it's not very happy with that. So I'm working on getting Mythtv going and hoping kernel 2.6.19 gets released soon, since there are already kernel patches released to update it to run on PS3.

Side note, Plextor also has a usb2 TV in device but I do not think it has it's driver in any kernel yet. The nice thing about it is it supports mpeg4 and divx encoding. The hauppauge only encodes mpeg2, BUT, it has a built in IR for remote, so with this device you get the TV in ability AND can use a standard remote. The plextor is also about $50 more.

Oh yeah i didn't even think about it being built into the kernel, i'm using ubuntu x86 and my pvr-150 has been working fine since i got it. Well hopefully they will build that into the next release because mythtv is a pretty sweet set of software and having a mythbox made out of the very sexy ps3 would be really awesome.

has anyone tried the patch crs9 was talking about?

Default kernel patch

I've tried patching 2.6.19rc6 with sony's beta .19 patches, but while patching the rc6, I get a bunch of errors. Not surprised with beta patches on just an rc kernel.
