Default Help on DVD and CD

I got the installer to work but when I get to the kboot: I need help.
I'm gonna get some fresh DVD-RW's and CD-RW's tomorrow. I want to know the file structure and which file goes on which disc. The install guide isn't exactly clear on this matter.

Also, do you really need DVD's or CD's becase i tried it with just a USB stick and it didn't work.

Any help would be great!

Also would the install of YDL be easier, if so should i wait for it?

You just burn the images to discs and run them, whats so hard about that?

It's quite simple. Burn the fedora core 5 image to a dvd. Burn the add-on image to a cd. Just make sure your burning software supports burning ISOs. If not, you can always try DVD Decrypter.

someone correct me if I'm wrong ;
you can install the add-on "CD"

but currently the PS3 only supports installing OtherOS's from dvd right ?
no multiple CD installs i think

Depends on the distro. The FC5 kboot installer only supports DVDs. For all other distros, you have to install manually and in that case, it doesnt depend on the media (CD/DVD)

Whenever i go to save the iso from the http link on his site it says it is 3.8GB, but when I download it, it gives me a less than 1KB image file what's going on?

ahh never mind, I'll wait for YDL(it comes out monday), might be a little more straight forward.

It shouldn't be any more straightforward. You only have to do a few steps with FC5. If anything, I think you should find another mirror or download off bittorrent.

that is because you are clicking on a link with ftp: in front instead of a link with http: click a link with http and it will start downloading the whole file
