EDIT: Ok, apparantly I misunderstood this link (
http://ps3.qj.net/Kernel-patches-and...g/49/aid/72608) as meaning that I could install Ubuntu. Apparantly I can only install ones with specific PS3 compatible versions? I guess I'll just try to get my friend to burn me the FC iso. (I don't have a DVD burner)
I'm trying to install Ubuntu using the Fedora Core guide and I'm having some problems.
First of all, ubuntu-6.10-desktop-powerpc.iso doesn't have a kboot folder or otheros.bld file. What should I put in my PS3 > otheros folder besides the otheros.self file?
Secondly, I don't know if I completely understand the partitions. I bought a 120gb hdd for using Linux, so does that mean I should put the 10gb partition to the GameOS? Is the Linux partition just for instalation, or is it for all files I will be downloading while in Linux?
If anyone else installed Ubuntu, or could help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.
This is driving me crazy.
