Smile PS3 60GB Linux

Hey guys ok i just got a 60GB PS3 Jap and i am wanting to install linux on it but i have a few questions

1) What opertating system do you guys reccomend?

2) How much space should i particion for it?

Fedora i say it the best to use on the ps3 but yellow dog is also good and i say give it 20 you shouldest need more than that

You can't. You can only alot 10GB to the Sony XMB and everything else to Linux or vice versa.

Ah ok so i should alot 10GB to liux and the rest to sony's then?

Sorry for messing you guys about but i have decided to install Fedora Core 5 but i have a question

1) I have a wired mouse but i dont have a wired keyboard do i realy need a wired keyboard to install linux?

2) I am downloading Fedora Core 5 right now but it is not telling me the file size, does anybody know the size of it?

The file size is around 3.4GB

And yes, you need a wired keyboard.

for the record, theres very little difference between ydl and fedora, since they BOTH use fedora core 5.
only difference is that ydl uses Enlightenment D17

Ok thanks for that, it is still downloading but could someone tell me if it should be done soon? at this minuite it has done 3270 MB so how much more has it to do?

i used a logitech cordless mx 3100 and everything went smoothly. the receiver has a usb plug and mini din (ps/2) plug for mouse, but both keyboard and mouse work on FC5 using only the usb plug.

I have a wireless (ex 110) Logitech USB keyboard and mouse and they worked okay for me on YDL 5.0. The usb plug setup is identical to ChuckFeezy's mx 3100.
