Talking New YDL user. Where can I find applications?

Hi All,

Yellow Dog Linux is turning out to be very cool! I installed today and am having a blast configuring it and getting it set up.

Where can I find PPC Linux applications to run on YDL?

Is there a site like versiontracker that has a nice set of PPC Linux applications all nicely rated and hosted? Is DL @ QJ going to start hosting apps for YDL?

Please help me find some good stuff to run. Thanks!

We will start hosting a lot of stuff once we get a few issues settled .

For now, you can try installing whatever you want and document your experiences here. About a list of apps, well...it would be huge

Cool Applications

Cool,

I tried X-Chat for linux and it gives me an error.

I also tried snes but get an error. I think I may have installed it wrong. Not sure how to fix it.

I can't find NES but really want to.

And finally, I cant seem to get the network to see my Mac. I saw the dood from 1up.com video he had his mac networked as well as VNC running with his mac so i know its possibly but info is scarce!

I can't wait for QJ to get a YDL PPC Linux downloads section! I love how well the psp section is organized. Very well done, thanks!

In the meantime where can i get a working irc chat client and nes and anything else cool. Is there an iTunes style mp3 player or like winamp? How about internet radio? That would be awesome.

Word up my Thirzzle homies.
