Has anyone installed gentoo for ppc on a ps3 yet? wondering if the compilation times are any good. I bet gentoo is so fast under ps3.

gentoo can be compiled as a multi-threaded, multi-cored system; that would rock.

Yes, I know a guy who has got Gentoo compiled

Unfortunately though, he seems to have gone in his shell and I haven't been able to talk to him. He has promised that he will get me some clear instructions in some time

Yeah if you get a hold of him you should give a heads up on how it runs, i assume it would run blazing quick compared to other distros.
