Well I installed the firmware 1.3 last night then tried putting YDL on my 60gb PS3. The bootloader worked fine it seemed being the PS3 booted to a linux screen, but it's looking like it won't recognize my keyboard. I forget the message that keeps scrolling but it has a long line ending in -32 and I googled what it said and it had something to do w/ a keyboard. I verified that the keyboard wasn't being found when I popped in the YDL dvd and it asked if I wanted to check the media so I pushed tab to go to no and nothing happened. I pressed space nothing happened. I know the keyboard works because I hooked it up to my laptop (with windows) and no problems. When the ps3 boots I see some the caps lock light flash on showing power, but it's still not recognizing it... And possibly not my mouse.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm gonna try to borrow a friends keyboard tonight and hopefully it works.

Try your friend's keyboard and report back.

OKay so Sunday I have a Linux guru coming over and I will update you on what we figure out cyanide.
